Отношение коэффициента усиления антенны к коэффициенту усиления полуволнового симметричного вибратора (диполя), выраженное в децибелах. Между коэффициентами усиления полуволнового и изотропного излучателя, которые стали своего рода эталонами при определении ширины диаграммы направленности антенн, существует простая связь, т.е. dBd - dBi = 2,14 дБ. См. half-wave dipole.
